Rocket League is turning seven! Celebrate soccar with Psyonix with special challenges, birthday ball modes, and the arrival of Golden Eggs as part of the Rocket League Birthday Ball.

It’s hard to believe that we’ve been driving rocket-powered cars at massive soccer balls for almost a decade. Easy to pick up but difficult to master, Rocket League has become a firm favorite with gamers around the world.

With the game’s seventh anniversary just around the corner, developer Psyonix has announced the Rocket League Birthday Ball, a special two-week event with the return of fan-favorite modes, new challenges, and more.

Rocket League’s Birthday Ball kicks off on Wednesday, July 6, and is scheduled to run until Wednesday, July 20.

The event starts a day before the game’s birthday as Thursday, July 7, actually marks the seventh anniversary of Rocket League’s release.

Psyonix says that the game’s seventh anniversary “isn’t just about [them],” and wants to celebrate “the players and community who helped grow Rocket League.”

With that in mind, the developers are adding a set of Birthday Ball Challenges, where players can earn a Golden Goat Player Banner, a Precious Metal Avatar Border, an Import Item Drop, and 20,000 XP.

On top of those sweet treats, anyone who completes all of the Birthday Ball challenges will also get 300 Credits as a thank you. The challenges haven’t been revealed just yet, so we don’t know how hard they will be. Still, with rewards like these, it’s worth giving them a go.

Psyonix will be bringing back two fan-favorite modes to help fans celebrate the big birthday. For Week One, 2v2 Heatseeker is back, a mode that gives the ball homing abilities that make it gravitate towards your opponent’s goal.

In Week Two, Knockout is back, allowing players to send players flying out of the arena with the unique Attack, Block, and Grab mechanics.

On top of all that, Psyonic will also be adding some special cosmetics to the Item Shop too, with the Titanium White Fennec, Fancy Formal Fennec decal, Spyder: Anniversary Edition Wheels, and Top Hat: Anniversary Edition topper all available to purchase.

Throughout the two weeks of Birthday Ball, players will be able to earn Golden Eggs, which can be used to unlock items from Champions Series 1-4.

Golden Eggs are just like other Golden rewards, which can be earned by completing challenges five times.

Completing the Birthday Ball challenges will require plenty of car-ball action, so give yourself an advantage over your opponents with the best Rocket League camera settings.

Apex Legends has become one of the most popular battle royale games in the world, but when did it first release?

Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royales in the world, but when did it come out? Here’s everything you need to know about the game’s original release date.

From PUBG to Fortnite, Apex Legends to Warzone, the battle royale genre has truly dominated the gaming scene for the last five years. In fact, the mode has become so important to shooters that games that launch without one are viewed as missing a vital component.

Each battle royale brings its own spin to the genre, capturing the imagination of players looking for new experiences. For Fortnite, building set it apart from its opponents, while Warzone’s use of class loadouts made it different from anything else on the market.

For Apex Legends, the use of characters with special and unique abilities meant that nothing else on the market could match its high-octane action, and unsurprisingly, thousands still jump on and play years after its launch. But when did Apex Legends actually release?

Apex Legends released on February 4, 2019, and was available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

Since then, the developers have released next-gen versions of the game for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, offering upgraded graphics and performance thanks to the power of the new consoles.

Developers Respawn Entertainment also targeted the portable gaming market too, releasing Apex Legends on Nintendo Switch on March 9, 2021.

Apex Legends Mobile was released on May 17, 2022, and is available on both iOS and Android devices.

After finding huge success on consoles and PC, Respawn decided it was time to let Apex players fight victories wherever they are. The game was first released in a limited number of regions but is available worldwide now.

Watching over players can be educational or down-right hilarious, but how do you spectate in Fortnite Chapter 3?

Spectating other players in Fortnite can be a great way to learn more about the game by watching how better opponents play, or simply good fun to see what others get up to. If you’d like to watch somebody else’s gameplay, here’s everything you need to know about how to spectate in Fortnite.

For many, the sole reason to jump onto Fortnite is to leap out of the Battle Bus, hurtle towards the map below, and eliminate enemies for a Victory Royale. For some though, it’s just as fun to watch other people play, whether to learn or just for some laughs.

While Epic Games keep adding new content to the game with every seasonal patch, one thing that disappeared was the ability to watch anyone’s game at any time.

While there are now some restrictions on who you can spectate, and when, there are still ways to settle back and observe matches. Here’s everything you need to know about spectating in Fortnite Chapter 3.

To spectate your friends in Fortnite, you’ll need to join their lobby, as the ‘Watch Game’ feature is no longer available.

Once you’ve joined your friend’s lobby, you’ll have to wait for 30 seconds after their match has started before you can see what they’re up to. This delay means you won’t see them jump out of the Battle Bus or land on the ground, but you should arrive just in time to see them engage opponents.

Unfortunately, the only way to spectate strangers in Fortnite Chapter 3 is to watch players who eliminate you from a match.

When an enemy takes you down, you’ll immediately be shown your final placement, along with a list of options to start a new match or head back to the pre-game lobby. The game will also show you what your opponent is up to after they killed you, and you can watch the match all the way to the end via this method.

You’ll not be able to watch strangers from the pre-game lobby though, as the ‘Watch Game’ feature has been removed from the game entirely.

While Epic Games didn’t give any details on the reason why they removed it, popular opinion suggests that stream sniping was the main reason it got axed.

Players would enlist friends to watch ongoing matches and call out enemy locations, making it easy for teams to essentially cheat their way to a victory.

Of course, it’s still possible to stream snipe opponents who are broadcasting their gameplay on streaming sites like Twitch or YouTube, but the delay means it isn’t quite as effective as this method.

If watching other players has you wondering how good you are, make sure to check out the average Fortnite kill/death ratio to see how you stack up.

The Shapeshifters promo followed TOTS as the next Ultimate Team promo in FIFA 22. Here’s a look at what to expect from the Team 3 squad.

The Shapeshifters promo last seen in FIFA 20 has made its way to FIFA 22’s Ultimate Team mode following the Team of the Season.

Team of the Season is certainly one of the most popular promos of the year, but it surely isn’t the final promo for FIFA 22 players to enjoy. Luckily, there are still a few Ultimate Team promos to look forward to and Shapeshifters is one of them.

The Shapeshifters promo was a fan-favorite promo in FIFA 20, and after not featuring in FIFA 21, it has made a return to Ultimate Team in FIFA 22.

The third Shapeshifters team is now live, which means you can grab the players in packs right now! Check out all 11 players in Team 3 below, along with the squads from the last two weeks.

Here’s the full list of players found in FIFA 22’s FUT Shapeshifters Team 3:

The Shapeshifters promo is a fan favorite due to its unique tendency to have top players in unconventional positions. This promo takes players out of their standard position and allows you to build a squad with more options at your disposal.

This drastic change opens the door to new squad-building possibilities. These special cards received rating boosts, SM/WF upgrades, and position changes, which makes Shapeshifters a top-tier promo.

Throughout the Shapeshifters promo, players will be able to earn Summer Swaps Tokens that they can later exchange for valuable rewards. Summer Swaps Tokens rewards include Shapeshifters Kimpembe and several Shapeshifters player picks.
