NTN Bearing Corp. of the United States has added ceramic ball bearings for motor applications as its latest product.

The company stated that NTN's new series of ceramic ball bearings are specifically designed to prevent arcs in various applications.

"We are very happy to provide our customers with another high-quality bearing solution," said James Misch, Director of Marketing and Technical Services at NTN. "Due to the nature of the industry and the possible exposure of bearings to stray currents, the electric motor industry is particularly facing many challenges. This new product innovation aims to cope with multiple potential failure modes and reassure our customers that their operations will not be affected. The impact of unplanned downtime."

NTN stated that its ceramic ball bearings are designed with steel rings and cages, which are sturdy and durable, but they use ceramic balls instead of standard steel balls. The company added that they are useful in many applications in various industries.

Since ceramics do not conduct electricity, NTN indicates that this material is very suitable for applications where stray currents exist.

NTN's ceramic ball bearing products come standard with two protective covers, motor grease and C3 clearance. The company stated that it stocks some of the most common bearing sizes and also offers bearings with a diameter of up to 65 mm.
