Genesis Owusu won four trophies and became the big winner of the 2021 ARIA Awards held at Sydney Taronga Zoo on Wednesday (November 24).
Owusu, a funkist who was born in Ghana and grew up in Australia, won the coveted album of the year award for his first "Smile without Tooth", and was awarded the best hip-hop album, best independent album and the most Best cover art for his boots, awarded to works by Kofi Ansah and Bailey Howard.

"This is crazy," he said after winning the best album award. "When I was young, I often looked sideways, such as the way I dress and the things I do," he recalled. "But all the people I love and respect are always firm, unshakable, unshakable, because we know who we are and the power of what we have created."

He continued, "For all these people, Goon Clubs, weirdos, and black people all over the world, we all know that changing people is not our responsibility, but people should catch up and see what they missed."

Owusu’s ARIA received a 7-day bounty for dreams come true.
Last week, his critically acclaimed LP won a series of J Awards including Australia's Album of the Year.
A few hours after being nominated for the first Grammy Award, The Kid LAROI won a pair of ARIA awards. The Kamilaoi rapper and singer won the best artist and best pop music release awards for his hit single "Stay". Justin Bieber is a song that ranks in Billboard 100, Global 200 and ARIA The dominant single on the chart.
"How good is Australian music," LAROI (real name Charlton Howard) was enthusiastic after winning the Best Artist Award. "It's unbelievable that I have received so much love, especially love from home. It means the whole world to me."
He continued, "From here on, what I want to do is to promote this culture and show the world what Australian music is like."
In the hometown of LAROI, "Stay" has obtained triple platinum certification, and it has been at the top of the list for 14 consecutive weeks, which is the third longest period of reign in the history of ARIA rankings.
The child is golden. Earlier this month, he won the Best Artist Award at the 2021 Australian National Aboriginal Music Awards.
With the third Grammy nomination and the third ARIA first album, Sydney electronic trio Rüfüs Du Sol won the Best Group and Best Dance Album awards for "Surrender".
The ARIA awards in 2021 have changed. Due to the chain challenges of the pandemic and cross-border travel, the ceremony was presented in a virtual form and was broadcast live on YouTube and the domestic digital channel NineNow on the Nine Network.
Also on the same night, the first Michael Gudinsky Breakthrough Artist Award was presented, and Bujra received the honor.
The category was recently renamed Mushroom Group founder and chairman in recognition of his unremitting support for new talent.
Budjerah is known as one of the best new voices in the country, and has actually been recognized as a candidate star by the late Gudinsky.
In fact, Gudinsky invited the teenage singer and songwriter to perform in the second edition of "Music from Hometown" aired in April on the eve of Anzac Day.
Budjerah recently signed a contract with Mushroom Music Publishing, a company founded by Gudinsky.
At a special moment that night, Ed Sheeran showed the category in a special video paying tribute to the late Gudinsky, who died suddenly on March 2 at the age of 68.
Earlier this year, Sheeran went to Melbourne to step on the stage of the National Monument for his close friend, the giant of the Australian music industry. Sheeran composed and sang a song "Access Time" for Gudinsky, which appeared in his latest album, = (equal to).
Other ARIA winners include Tkay Maidza (Best Soul/R&B Release), Middle Kids (Best Rock Album), Crowded House (Best Adult Contemporary Album), Troy Cassar-Daley (Best Country Album), Tropical F* *K Storm (best hard rock/heavy metal album), Archie Roach (best blues and roots album), Taylor Swift (the most popular international category voted by fans), and "Dance Monkey" producer Konstantin Kersting won Two craftsman awards.
This year's ARIA awards ceremony is divided into two parts, with an intermission in the middle, and audiences can enjoy the montage of the classic ARIA awards moments, and the 2021 In Memoriam part.
The second part is divided into 11 main categories, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Michael Gudinsky Breakthrough Artist and Artist of the Year. This is the first time it has been presented in a gender-neutral category.
