The Philadelphia Eagles have succeeded early in the 2022 NFL season because of the combination of solid drafting and free agency acquisitions.

They took players like Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean in this year’s draft.

Meanwhile, they brought in A.J. Brown, Haason Reddick, James Bradberry, and C.J. Gardner-Johnson through trades or offseason signings.

These transactions have helped the Eagles remain the only undefeated team in the National Football League through Week 4.

The Eagles are doing it on both ends of the ball, starting with the fourth-best offense in terms of points, averaging 28.8 per game.

On defense, they are limiting opponents to 17.8 points per game, tied for eighth-best in the league.

Now that Howie Roseman’s strategies are bearing fruit, they may have a chance of adding to their loaded roster through next year’s draft.

#Eagles currently own the No. 4 and No. 32 picks in the 2023 NFL Draft

94WIP.com reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks reminded everyone that the Eagles have the fourth and 32nd overall picks in the 2023 NFL Draft if the 2022 season ended in Week 4.

The Eagles received a 2023 first-rounder from the New Orleans Saints from the trade they completed in the recent draft.

The Saints have the fourth-worst record through the first four weeks.

Injuries to Jameis Winston, Michael Thomas, and Alvin Kamara do not help New Orleans’ cause.

Therefore, the Saints’ demise is the Eagles’ gain.

Meanwhile, the 32nd pick is because they are the only undefeated team left this season at 4-0.

The Eagles have their share of recent draft blunders like J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (taken before D.K. Metcalf and Diontae Johnson) and Jalen Reagor (taken before Justin Jefferson).

However, Roseman was able to find starters through the rookie draft.

The Eagles took Dallas Goedert, Josh Sweat, and Jordan Mailata in 2018.

A year later, they took Miles Sanders in the second round.

Philadelphia drafted Jalen Hurts and Quez Watkins in 2020.

Last year, they added DeVonta Smith and Landon Dickerson.
