The strategy of accumulating running in the first game and then suppressing opponents through spins has always been a strategy of Galle, Sri Lanka. The blueprint helped them seize the initiative in the first test against the West Indies yesterday because they took the tourists It was reduced to 113 people, and six people responded to the first game, and a total of 386 people were eliminated. The West Indies fell behind 273 times and it would take 74 more times to avoid following up.

If they defeat the West Indies at a low price, Sri Lanka is unlikely to follow up. They don't want to hit the ball last at this wicket, and more importantly, give the bowlers some breathing space for them to rest before they can kill.

After the fast break failed to make progress as early as possible, both left arm spinners were opened, and Lasith Embuldeniya added 46 runs in the opener and trapped Jermaine Blackwood's leg in front of the goal, thus providing a breakthrough.

Praveen Jayawickrama then performed because Nrumah Bonner put gloves on Dhananjaya de Silva when he slipped.

Ramesh Mendis only played in the 32nd round. He fired Kraigg Brathwaite, who was dropped by Pathum Nissanka. The West Indies captain looked stable, shooting 41 points and scoring 7 four-pointers. He has successfully overturned a decision and is ready to proceed before Mendis removes him in the last ball of the first round.

Oshada Fernando then completed two good catches on the short leg, allowing Mendis to get three wickets in the game. Among his victims was Shai Hope, who was Jeremy Solozano's concussion backup. In his debut, the Trinidad batsman was taken to the hospital behind the grille of the helmet in a full blood shot by Dimuth Karunaratne, where he fell to the ground.

Solozano was out of danger but suffered a concussion and was discharged 24 hours after admission.

The West Indies lost four wickets in 20 runs due to the collapse of the intermediate sequence to the rotating trio.

Sri Lanka scored 386 points in the first game. Captain Dimuth Karunaratne released his 13th Test Hundreds on the first day, and then tripped skillfully by Joshua da Silva in a bowling game at Roston Chase. The all-rounder completed five wickets.

Shannon Gabriel showed a lot of heart and claimed two wickets. One of his victims was Dhananjaya de Silva, who performed well in the 61-year-old game but was fired in a strange way; hit the ticket gate. He once defended a pitch and realized that the ball might bounce and interfere with the stump trying to slap it away, but eventually smashed his stump.

This is a good start for the Sri Lanka Test Tournament. They hope to score 14 points in the World Test Championship.
