Although there are a large number of electric scooters on the market, most of them have very small wheels and are easily swallowed by potholes. Kobra is different because it has relatively large and strong wheels — and a tubular stainless steel frame.

First of all, Kobra actually has two models: Smart for the city and heavy Climber.

Both have a 20-inch wheel on the front wheel and a 16-inch wheel on the rear wheel. These wheels are wrapped in pneumatic tires-smooth on the Smart and knotty on the Climber. The braking force is provided by electronically activated mechanical disc brakes. The "E-ABS" system prevents the wheels from locking up when braking.

The rear wheel is also equipped with a hub motor-Smart for 350 watts and Climber for 500 watts-powered by a lithium battery mounted on the frame. According to reports, it should be possible to travel more than 100 kilometers (62 miles) at a top speed of 25 km/h (16 mph) on a single charge. Thanks to its more powerful motor, Climber is said to be able to handle slopes of up to 35%, while Smart can handle up to 22%.

Since the frame "inspired by motorcycles" is made of stainless steel tubes, rust should not be a problem. It is said that the frame can also absorb road vibrations through bending. Some of Kobra's other features include cruise control, regenerative braking, and integrated headlights and taillights (with brake lights).

If you are interested, Kobra is currently the subject of Indiegogo activities. Assuming it reaches the production stage, a commitment of 2,170 Euros (approximately US$2,615) will provide you with a Smart, while Climber will require 2,480 Euros (US$2,989). Their planned retail prices are 2,890 Euros and 3,310 Euros (3,483 USD and 3,989 USD).

You can see the operation of the two models in the following video.
